It will be difficult for Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier League this season - Mohammed Alhassan

Former Kotoko goalkeeper, Mohammed Alhassan has ruled out the Porcupine Warriors from the Ghana Premier League title race this season.

The Ghanaian giants had a slow start to the 2023/24 domestic top-flight campaign, failing to win any of their first three games of the season.

But the Porcupine Warriors made an amends to secure victories in their last two games of the campaign, triumphing over Accra Lions with a 1-0 scoreline and beating Aduana Stars 1-0. Kalo Ouattara and Richmond Lamptey played crucial roles in securing these wins.

“It will be difficult for Kotoko finish on top of league at the end of the season, Kotoko are competing with Dreams FC, Medeama, Aduana Stars and others, who have matured players, they also have players who have had stints with them for a longer period than Kotoko”

“Truth be told, Kotoko can finish in the top four teams but winning the league will be difficult for them” he said.

Asante Kotoko are now gearing up to face Nations FC in match week six.
