Former Benevento head coach, Cristian Bucchi says he believes AC Monza have the players to finish as one of the two top teams in the Italian Serie B to gain promotion to the Serie A.
The Serie B club has Ghanaian players KP Boateng and Mario Balotelli as two of the stars in the team.
Although Balotelli is yet to have successive runs in the team, KP Boateng has already established himself as a star for AC Monza.
According to Cristian Bucchi, AC Monza has a good chance of securing automatic qualification to the Serie A at the end of the season.
“Aiming for second place means trying to win every match, then if Empoli slows down they can get sucked in: I see them very open, continuity counts. Also after the relegation is very hard, disposed of the waste you can try more calmly like last year Benevento or this year Lecce and Spal. It takes patience,” the Italian coach told Gazzetta dello Sport.
He further advised the technical handlers of AC Monza to manage the top players in the team well to get the best out of them.
“Yes, but he will have to manage such a rich squad well. The big names have to go in top condition, see Balotelli or Paletta; only Boateng is making a difference at the moment. And then you have to find the right place for Diaw and be able to score more goals, improving in attack, because Monza is already perfect in defense,” coach Cristian Bucchi added.
