Italian side Empoli is closing in on the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah from Torino after a breakthrough in negotiations, according to reports.
Acquah, 26 is attracting interest from clubs ahead of the new season with Empoli keen to secure his signature before the 2018/19 league commences.
The defensive-midfielder has vast experience in the Serie A making over 100 appearances having previously played for Palermo, Parma and Sampdoria.
He has also featured in 29 games for the senior national team.
