Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti says it’s too early to tip the Porcupine Warriors to win the Ghana Premier League title this season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently 7th on the domestic top-flight table after shaking off a difficult start to the season. They continued their resurgence with a 3-2 win over sworn rivals Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday.
Kotoko have now extended their Ghana Premier League winning streak to four games after triumphing over Hearts of Oak.
Speaking in an interview, Opoku Nti, who previously served as the CEO of Kotoko downplayed title aspirations despite their resurgence.
“We are not halfway through the season so I think it’s too early to predict Kotoko will win the Ghana Premier League title but if they continue like this, then for sure, they can annex it,” he said.
Asante Kotoko are away to Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League week 15 encounter on Sunday.
