'It's too harsh to cancel 2019/20 Premier League season' - Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp

Crystal midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp says it will be too harsh for the English Football Association to cancel the 2019/20 season because of the outbreak coronavirus.

The English Premier League has been suspended until at least April 30 in order to help prevent the spread of the disease also called COVID-19, with many calling for Liverpool to be crowned champions.

But Schlupp believes it is only fair to finish the season.

"I think it's obviously be started so you've got to finish it," he told Alex Howell on his 'Staying in With' Youtube Show.

"I think cancelling the season doesn't really work with me and it's too harsh on the league. If you ask every player, everyone wants to play and if there is an opportunity of finishing the league then we will stand by," he added.

"I mean obviously in the Liverpool situation I fell like is a bit quite harsh, they could have won it without even playing but it's just that one game away which is obviously frustrating for them I can imagine. But it's just only fair to finish the season."

The Ghana international recently returned from injury and has made 14 appearances and scored goals for Palace in term.
