Crystal Palace attacker Jeffery Schlupp has revealed that Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard and Barcelona star Lionel Messi are the toughest opponents he has ever faced in his career.

According to the Ghanaian international who faced Hazard in the English Premier League during his time at Chelsea, the Belgian always caused all sorts of trouble and proved to be a special player.

He further reveals that he also once faced Messi in a friendly match where the Argentine as expected proved why he is the best.

Speaking to Chris Grierson from Palace TV, Jeffery Schlupp shared: “We played Barcelona in a pre-season game if that counts - so obviously Lionel Messi. But in the Premier League: Eden Hazard; he’s a special, special player. Until you come up against him you don’t realise: ‘Wow, this guy is special”.

Jeffery Schlupp joined Crystal Palace in 2017 from Leicester City and has since established himself as one of the exciting players at the club.
