Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp played full throttle for Crystal Palace as they stunned Arsenal 3-0 to boost their survival hopes and put a massive dent in the Gunners' top-four bid on Monday night.

The left-back was very lively down the left, caused Arsenal problems and linked up well with his teammates.

Palace took the lead in the 17th minute when Andros Townsend finished off a neat move.

He tapped in Wilfried Zaha's cross after Christian Benteke and Yohan Cabaye were also involved in the build-up.

Benteke had a goal ruled out after the break but Cabaye swept home a brilliant second from another Zaha assist to make it 2-0.

And Luka Milivojevic wrapped up all three points from the spot in the 69th minute after Emiliano Martinez was adjudged to have brought down Andros Townsend.

Victory took Palace to 34 points, six clear of the bottom three, while Arsenal stayed seven points off fourth-placed Manchester City.
