Jérémy Doku in line for senior team duties after bagging hat-trick for Anderlecht u-21

Ghanaian youngster Jérémy Doku is being tipped to return to the Anderlecht first team next weekend after bagging a brace for the team’s u-21 side against Sint Truiden u-21 on Tuesday.

The forward was part of Vincent Kompany’s team when he was in charge of the Belgian team at the start of the season as their head coach.

Following a run of poor results, the team was forced to turn attention from relying on their youngsters and that resulted in Doku and several others turning full focus to the u-21 side.

Called into action yesterday, the striker showed fine form and scored twice as his side beat Sint Truiden 4-1.

Following that impressive performance, he is thought to have caught the eye of new manager Frank Vercauteren and could be part of the Anderlecht team that will travel to the Kehrwegstadion to play Eupen on Friday, October 25, 2019.
