Jerome Boateng out for a short period with injury

Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng, will reportedly be out of action for two to three weeks as a result of an injury.

Boateng had to be taken off during Bayern's Champions League final clash against PSG after picking up an injury during the game. Luckily, Bayern scored a goal and ended the match with a 1-0 victory.

The club announced after the game that Boateng has suffered a torn muscle fiber in his right rear thigh.

The club added that Boateng will "complete a rehab program created by the record champions' medical department while on vacation" and the reports have indicated that it could be three weeks maximum.

Boateng was a key player for the club before his injury.
