Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was in action for his Swansea City outfit today when they defeated Southampton on the opening weekend of the English Premier League.

The forward enjoyed an outstanding campaign with the Eagles club last season where he netted a total of 9 goals to emerge as the team’s top scorer.

Today, Jordan Ayew earned a starting role and put in a good shift to help his team look for the victory.

At the end of the 90 minutes, a Wilfred Zaha strike after he was assisted Andros Townsend powered Crystal Palace to post a 1-0 win over Southampton.

Jordan Ayew, 28, lasted the entire duration of the game. On the matchday, his compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp also featured for the Eagles. He lasted 81 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Nigerian teenager Eberechi Eze.
