Jose Mourinho Issues Ominous Warning to Title Contenders Regarding 'Refereeing Mistakes'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has sent a warning to the sides at the top of the Premier League, statingthey haven't been through a period of referee mistakes yet.

The Portuguese coach called his side "the unluckiest in the Premier League" after they were denied a win against Arsenal by a late Olivier Giroud equaliser at Old Traffordon Saturday.

The hosts had been on top in the second half, taking the lead through Juan Mata, but the late goal denied them what would have been a crucial and much needed victory.

United are now nine points behind league leaders Chelsea, but Mourinho has expressed his belief that the teams currently at the top haven't yetbeen held back by misfortune.

"Some of teams who are having everything in their sights, their period for referee mistakes will arrive," said Mourinho - via theMetro. "The same team cant be unlucky all time."

Mourinho added that the performances of his side haven't justified some of the poor results in recent weeks.

"Results not good enough, especially if you compare the results with the way the team is playing," he said.

"As an example, if you have a draw against Arsenal, it's quite a normal result, it's not a dramatic result.

"You play so well and dominate totally and then the result becomes really bad because of the way we are performing, especially the last three matches at home. Stoke, Burnley and Arsenal."

United are next in action against struggling West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday, a game that is likely to be considered a must win if they are to mount a genuinechallenge for the title this season.
