Manchester United might be six points from the top four, however, Jose Mourinho's men have started to gel and a return amongst the top four looks imminent for United. Although they have a star-studdedlist, the Special One has praised his star striker as United enjoy a turn of fortune.

As reported inTheMirrorthe Manchester United manager had plenty of admirable things to say about his 35-year-old striker.

I knew the character because at his age I think it's character - the personality, the passion that plays, the quality is there.

I knew he could do what he is doing here, lots of passion."

Mourinho also revealed to the media that he warned the Swedish Striker that life in the Premier League would be another test rather than a swansong.

I told him England is not the best place for holidays - when a rich guy with a phenomenal career wants holidays, he doesn't come to England.

You come to England if you want to be in the most difficult league in the world if you want to prove yourself and show what you can do.

So his decision to come was based on that, so I'm really happy because it's not just about goals. His goals, his leadership, his motivation, I'm really happy.

With 14 goals in 24 appearances for the Red Devils, Ibrahimovic is proving that he belongs amongst the elite Premier League strikers despite his age.

As Manchester United look to keep their momentum going, Mourinho will hope that his star striker can keep his tantalisingform going as his side prepare for a visit to West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
