Genk defender Joseph Aidoo is from the list of 23 players from Ghana selected for CAN-2019 (June 21-July 19) in Egypt, along with brothers André and Jordan Ayew and Asamoah Gyan, major assets of " Black stars ".

The indestructible Asamoah Gyan, 33, scorer of the selection, dissatisfied with the loss of the captain's armband in favor of André Ayew, announced his international retirement last month, but he reversed his decision after intervention by the Ghanaian president.

Coach Kwesi Appiah, along with brothers Ayew and Gyan, have retained nine other CAN-2017 survivors where Ghana had been eliminated in the semi-finals: Richard Ofori, Andy Yiadom, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Baba Rahman, Thomas Partey, Christian Atsu, Mubarak Wakaso, Afriyie Acquah.
