Joseph Esso is not ready to play – Dreams FC coach Karim Zito

Published on: 13 March 2024

Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has indicated his forward Joseph Esso is not ready to play and for that matter, he will be involved in their game against Hearts of Oak.

The Still Believe lads will play host to Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday in matchday 21 of the top-flight.

Esso is back for a second stint with the Still Believe lads after ending his spell in Algeria. He departed Dreams FC to join MC Alger in March 2021.

But Zito says Esso is not ready to feature for the club at the moment and thus, he will not play against Hearts of Oak.

“Truth be told; I’m very happy we’ve able to sign another experience player. Esso and John Antwi will enhance the squad”

“He trained with us on Tuesday, and after a careful assessment, I realize he is not ready to play against Hearts of Oak. His readiness fell below my expectations so I will not include him” he added.

Esso scored 11 goals on his first stint with Dreams FC in the 2020/2021 season.
