Joseph Esso’s exit won't really affect Hearts of Oak - Adjah Tetteh

Ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder Lawrence Adjah Tetteh has disclosed that Joseph Esso's exit won't affect the team following the signing of Abednego Tetteh.

The Phobians parted ways with the 23-year-old after negotiations on a new contract hit a snag.

The club was willing to tie Esso down with a new deal but he wanted to leave, having made 14 appearances and scoring three goals in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

According to Tetteh, Hearts have an equally good player to fill the gap left by Esso in new signing Abednego Tetteh.

"Esso’s exit might not really affect them because they have now signed Adednego Tetteh," said the legendary midfielder as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.com.

"I think both parties had their own reasons why an agreement cannot be reached."

"Let’s just hope the team can bounce back in the new season and win trophies. That is what the fans are expecting," he concluded.

Abednego Tetteh joined the Phobians in the second transfer window, but he is yet to make his debut due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

Hearts of Oak have also completed the signing of Nigerian attacker Ademola Danjuma Kuti.
