Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil showcased his stellar form for LA Galaxy, delivering a goal and an assist in their commanding victory over Vancouver Whitecaps in the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Saturday night.
The match unfolded at the BC Place Stadium, where LA Galaxy dealt a decisive blow to Vancouver Whitecaps, securing a resounding 3-1 triumph and ascending to the top of the Eastern Conference standings after eight matches.
The breakthrough arrived in the 56th minute courtesy of Dejan Joveljic, who notched his sixth goal of the season for LA Galaxy.
Despite a brief setback with Brian White’s equalizer for the hosts in the 77th minute, Paintsil swiftly regained the lead for LA Galaxy just three minutes later, seizing on a pass from Riqui Puig.
Demonstrating his versatility, Paintsil then turned provider, setting up Diego Fagundez for LA Galaxy’s third goal in the 82nd minute.
With this latest display, Paintsil’s contributions for LA Galaxy have been notable, amassing three goals and three assists in eight appearances thus far in the MLS season.
