JUST IN: Ivorian midfielder Alex Didi accepts Kotoko’s three months compensation

Published on: 10 January 2020

Ivorian international Alex Didi Arnold has finally accepted Asante Kotoko’s three months compensation that will trigger the termination of his contract.

The midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors in the summer of 2019 but has failed to make the expected impact. Though he has been with the club for the past six months, he did not feature in a full match.

In the past month, the management of Kotoko has made it clear that they no longer need the services of the player.

In line with that, they have been in talks with his agent to reach an agreement to have him consent to a 3-month compensation package before his contract will be terminated.

Talks hit a standing block in the past week after Didi Arnold and his agent rejected Kotoko’s offer while asking to be paid 6 months of the player’s salary instead.

Meanwhile, our sources have confirmed this evening that the player has accepted the proposed 3-month compensation from his employers.

In line with that, Alex Didi will be paid a total sum of $2100 for the three months.
