Massimiliano Allegri saw Marko Pjaca score his first Juventus goal on Wednesday, and heaped praise on the youngster forhis recent change in attitude after the game.

The Old Lady ran out 2-0 winners in the first leg oftheir Champions League tieagainst 2004 winners Porto and are now poised to progress through to the quarter-finals having scored two away goals.

Pjaca started the game on the bench for Juve, but was introduced in the second half and finally broke his duck for the club in the 72nd minute when he drove home into the bottom corner, after Porto's Alex Telles was sent off for two yellow cards in quick succession.

Former Barcelona full-back Dani Alves made it 2-0 to put Allegri's men in a commanding position for the return leg in Turin on March 14.

Speaking of Pjaca to Mediaset Premium via Goal, the manager said: "I already saw from Saturday that he was changing attitude and he understood that some things are not enough when playing in Italian football.

"He is changing his attitude and already has the technique, pace and talent. He is young and we need patience with young players.

"The team did well in terms of character and we were only under pressure for five minutes, then controlled the game both with 11 against 11 and 11 against 10.

"The lads were patient, tried to widen the opposition and we brought home an important victory. It could've been 3-0, but this is fine."

The 21-year-old Croatian wingerjoined Juventus from Dinamo Zagreb last summer for around €23m and will now be hoping to kick on after his first goal in black and white by starting more games for the club.
