The midfielder was deployed at left-back and made lightwork of Napoli winger Jose Callejon during the game.

In the end, Sami Khedira and Marek Hamsik scored for Juve and Napoli respectively at the Stadio San Paolo.

“At the start, we played well, moving the ball from side to side, but once we took the lead, we allowed Napoli to take control and in my view, we weren’t sharp enough in possession,” Allegri told Mediaset Premium.

“I anticipated some difficulties. You win titles with games like these, by picking up difficult points on your travels.

“I have to compliment my players because you can’t always dominate games and especially not against this Napoli side.

“Kwadwo Asamoah had a good game, at times a bit too busy, as Jose Callejon is very difficult to mark."

Asamoah, 28, has now made 13 league appearances comprising 11 starts this season.
