Juventus Star Could Snub Barca Move Due to Fears Messi Might Block His Path Into Team

Few footballers in the world would be put off of a move to Spanish giants Barcelona because of the presence of Lionel Messi.

However, Juventus starlet, and Argentinian colleague, Paulo Dybala, may have just hinted at that fact and would prefer a move to bitter rivals Real Madrid, according toDiario Gol.

The Turin superstar, who in recent seasons has seen his stock value skyrocket, is one of the most sought after players in the world and naturally, the Spanish giants have expressed an interest.

Real want a suitable candidate to fill the boots of the out-of-sorts Karim Benzema, while Barca were said to be interested in linking up Dybala with Messi.

But, it seems as if the Catalan's prolific no. 10 could cost them the 23-year-old's signature with Dybala said to be wary of Messi's importance at the Nou Camp and how this could undermine him.

The Juve forward is seeking a club where he can be the main man and current Champions League holders Real appear to be a more suitable option for him in this respect.

After playing alongside Messi at international level, Dybala is said to be wary of how easy the five-time Ballon d'Or winner can usurp him in importance.

Of course, at Real, being the focal point of the team will not be easy either. Cristiano Ronaldo, despite his age, is scoring regularly and is still the talisman for Los Blancos, while Gareth Bale appears next in line for the Portuguese superstar's role anyway.

While the opportunity for first-team football would perhaps be greater in the Spanish capital the ability to become the main man would possibly be just as difficult.

Dybala has come a long way since his move to Juve from Palermo in 2015, but to be discussing his ability to compete with the two best in the world seems a bit too far forward for now.
