Juventus Star Set to Sign Lucrative Contract & Scupper Premier League Interest

Juventus are set scupper Arsenal and Manchester City'splans to sign Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro by offering him a lucrative new deal, reportsthe Mirror.


Sandro has attractedinterest from Arsenal and City, and is rated at £25m. The Gunners see him as a long term replacement for Nacho Monreal, but rumour has it that it will be very difficult for Arsene Wenger's side to get their man.

Manchester City have been linked with the Brazilian internationalon and off since 2015 but missed their chance to sign him that summer when he moved from Portugese giantsFC Porto to Italian champions Juventus for a reported fee of around £20m.


Pep Guardiola remains a keen admirer of the Brazilian, and won't give up on him without a fight.

Juve are very close to signing Sandro on a new deal. The new contract would last until 2022, with the Brazilian earning close to £70,000 a week.


Sandro has made 60 first team appearances for Juventus, scoring 4 goals in the process. He has also been capped six times for Brazil, but is yet to score for the Selecao. The left-back won the league twice with Porto, and has won itonce so far in his time at the Juventus Stadium.
