Juventus want Arsenal midfielder in January

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to join Juventus in the summer, but it appears the Italian side are keen to bring him to Italy in January.

Reports in recent days have suggested the Welshman has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Bianconeri that will see him move to Turin for the next-five seasons at €6.5 million a campaign.

Corriere del Torino reports that although Juventus have secured the midfielder’s services on a free transfer, they are hard at work in an attempt to convince Arsenal to let Ramsey go in January.

Those attempts have proven unsuccessful, as the Gunners have so far been unwilling to let him six months early – even for €5m.

Whether Ramsey joins Juventus in January or the summer remains to be seen, but an official announcement regarding his move to Turin on a free transfer is expected in the coming weeks.

Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008. He has since gone on to score 61 goals in 353 appearances for the Gunners.
