Ghana international, Kamal Sowah was in action for his AZ Alkmaar outfit last Thursday when the team suffered elimination from this season’s Uefa Europa League.

In what was a round of 16 tie against Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt, the Dutch club lost the first leg 2-1 and had to return home to make amends.

At the end of the second leg, a 2-2 draw at home meant that AZ Alkmaar had been knocked out of the competition via a 4-3 aggregate loss.

On the matchday, Kamal Sowah did not start the game. He was on the bench and was called into action in the second half to help his team.

Although he added to the attacking threat of the Dutch Eredivisie club, it barely made a difference.

The young winger joined AZ Alkmaar on loan in the winter window and is aiming to help the club finish the 2021/22 campaign on a very good note.
