Karela United express interest in signing Kotoko duo

Karela United have expressed interest in signing Asante Kotoko pair Martin Antwi and Kingsley Effah Osei in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.

The Aiyinase-based club have written to the management of the Porcupine Warriors for the availability of the duo in bid to beef up their squad for the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Both players have been deemed surplus to requirement as they have failed to make a single appearance since the arrival of coach Maxwell Konadu in December 2019.

Osei joined the club from Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities FC) and has find playing time difficult.

Antwi has also been struggling for regular playing time at the club after penning a three-year deal with the two-time CAF Champions League winners in October 2018.

Asnate Kotoko have already farmed out Ibrahim Osman and Ibrahim Danlad to King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea on a season-long loan deal respectively.

Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Samuel Frimpong, Evans Owusu and Stephen Ayiku Tetteh will be loaned out before the transfer window closes on January 13, according to reports.
