Karela United in-form attacker Darlington Gyanfosu says his outfit will surprise AshantiGold in front of their home fans by beating them in the semi-final of the GFA Normalisation Committee (NC) Special Competition on Sunday.
Karela United will travel to Obuasi to take on AshGold in the one-off semi-final clash at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
According to Gyanfosu, Karela are determined to cause an upset in Obuasi on Sunday as they set sights on reaching the final of the competition.
"We would be going all out because this is a crucial semi-final encounter and it’s against one of the best teams in the country Ashgold," he said in an interview with GNA Sports.
The former Nea Salamina star said, playing against the Miners at the Len Clay Stadium was always tough but they won’t be intimidated by the home supporters.
"We lost in our last game away to Ashgold in their stadium, but this time we won’t be intimidated by their supporters. Football is full of uncertainty and anything can happen so we are going into the game with the aim of winning”, he added.
The winner of the game will face either Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko in the final as they battle to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
