According to reports in Spain, Ronald Koeman has insisted to the Barcelona board that he would need Memphis Depay in the team this season.

The Catalans have agreed personal terms with the player but are yet to reach an agreement with Lyon. They have been given a deadline of Friday to do so.
Koeman has not given up on the prospect of adding the Dutchman to his side. Although he has Lionel Messi, Braithwaite and Griezmann as options upfront, he wants to add Depay to give him extra firepower for the campaign.

It remains to be seen whether Barcelona will be able to conclude a deal on time.
