The West African Country progressed from the group stages of the tournament as leaders from Group F but disappointingly got booted out at the round of 16 after losing 5-4 on penalties to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Monday, July 8, 2019.

In the last 24 hours, Coach Kwesi Appiah has been on the receiving end of negative criticism and insult on social media as well as mainstream radio from Ghanaians who were not impressed with his coaching at the tournament.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM earlier today, Kojo Yankah who has loads of experience in football administration has called on the gaffer to leave the job and just walk away.

According to him, the gaffer is competent enough to handle the Black Stars but is surrounded by people who are not providing him the needed assistance.

“People are not helping coach Kwesi Appiah because, those around are not the people to help Ghana football move forward so even if he selects the best players, he will continue to face this disgrace. I will advise him to leave the job,” Kojo Yankah said.
