Kotoko coach Johnson Smith promises to fix goal scoring problem after Medeama stalemate

Asante Kotoko stop-gap coach Johnson Smith has promised fans he will solve the goal scoring problem at the club after Medeama SC stalemate in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Abass Mohammed climbed off the bench to score a last gasp equalizer to hand Medeama a 1-1 at the Akoon park in their outstanding match day 4 fixture.

The Porcupine Warriors have scored only six goals in all competitions this season and are yet to score more than one goal in a game.

"We accept that we drew, but we were affected by the goal that was disallowed, what saddens me is the penalty," Smith said at the post-match presser.

"It means we would have lost if we had not scored first. In football, anything can happen that’s why I always tell the boys to score more goals and not just score one goal and depend on it.

"That is the work we are going to do going forward."
