Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steve Pollack says he is satisfied with the performance of his players, despite the slim win over CARA Brazzaville in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

The FA Cup Champions beat their opponents from Congo by just a goal after spurning several chances, including missing three penalties in the game.

Yakubu Mohammed scored the only goal from the spot after striker Saddick Adams, Captain Amos Frimpong and Baba Mahama has all missed from 12 yards.

The win, even though unconvincing put Kotoko in a sticky situation ahead of the second leg in Congo. However, Coach Steve Pollack was satisfied with the performance and is convinced the Porcupine Warriors will progress to the next stage.

"I'm satisfied with the performance," he said after the game. "It's been a long time since we played like that and i thought we played some good football ," he added.

"Some of you might say the opposition are weak but even if they are not at that good level. I think the intensity of our game was really good today."

"I'm I happy with the 1-0? No, but we have to be satisfied, that's the way it is, so i look at it, it's just the first half so we have the second half in ten days to come," he concluded.

The Ghanaian giants will travel to Congo in a fortnight time to play the second leg, with a draw or a 1 goal deficit, in a scoring contest an advantage to their course.
