Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Emmanuel Osei Kwame has been discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after undergoing successful surgery.

The third choice goalkeeper of the Porcupine Warriors sustained an injury earlier this year which denied him any chance of featuring in the Ghana Premier League season before it was suspended as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

Last Friday he was at KATH and had successful surgery to correct his anterior cruciate ligament tear injury in hopes of making a full recovery before the season re-starts.

Two days later, he has been discharged from the hospital and will be undergoing rehabilitation at home under the supervision of Dr. Konadu Yeboah.

"Following a successful operation at KATH on Wednesday, goalie Emmanuel Osei Kwame has now been discharged and will continue his rehabilitation under the care of Dr. Konadu Yeboah (pictured 1st from right) and our medical team", a Kotoko statement on their Twitter page has announced.
