Kotoko interim coach Abdul Gazale elated with team’s away win over Kotoku Royals

Asante Kotoko interim coach, Abdulai Gazale has reacted to the team’s victory over Kotoku Royals in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors on Monday afternoon played away from home to the Week 31 opponent and secured a 3-1 win at the end of a good display.

Speaking in a post-match interview, interim coach Abdulai Gazale bemoaned the fact that his team could not keep a clean sheet.

He is however happy that his team managed to bag the maximum three points.

“Today I was not thinking that we will concede a goal because of what we have done in the past two weeks but unfortunately conceded again. We needed the three maximum points and we are back to winning ways,” the gaffer said.

On the fitness of two-goal hero Georges Mfegue, Coach Gazale said, “He was not ready to start but I told him we needed him because of his experience. He actually did the work by giving us the lead in the first 45 minutes.”

Thanks to the win over Kotoku Royals today, Asante Kotoko have moved to fourth on the Ghana Premier League table.
