Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko has named former player Richard Manu to take charge of their youth team.

The management of the Porcupine Warriors has in the last couple of weeks been on the search of a new coach to handle the club’s youth team.

After screening possible candidates, the club has settled on former player Richard Manu. He has now agreed to terms and has signed a five-year contract with the employers.

He has been tasked to nurture the young players of Kotoko and ensure they are properly developed before promoted to the senior team.

The former Asante Kotoko player was with the club between 2007 and 2010 and was part of the team which won the Ghana Premier League in 2008.

After completing his coaching badges in Germany, he has worked with third-tier sides DJK Dillingen in Saarbrucken, Borussia Neunkirchen and Lisdorf FC in Saarlouis.
