Kotoko undergo recovery sessions ahead of CARA clash

FA Cup Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have undergone a recovery session ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup clash against Congolese side CARA.

The Ghanaian giants will host Club Athletique Renaissance de Aiglon in Kumasi on Sunday in the first leg of the preliminary stages of the Confederations Cup.

Ahead of the fixtures, the team that was eliminated in the first round of the GFA/ StarTimes engaged lower tier side, Asokwa Deportivo  in a friendly on Sunday, who they beat 2-1.

Baba Mahama opened the scoring from the spot before Kwame Boahen scored the second with Ibrahim Osman getting the consolation for Deportivo.

Kotoko Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei has tasked the team to reach the group stages of the competition, and has provided he necessary environment for the club to succeed. The players were sent through some swimming activities and exercises.

The recovery session is expected to help the players regain full fitness for the the game on Sunday.
