President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has shared that he is confident the Black Stars and local clubs will soon enjoy continental success.

The Ghana national team, as well as clubs who participate in CAF organized competitions, have struggled to come tops for at least the last decade.

Speaking in a stakeholder engagement program on Happy FM on Wednesday, Kurt Okraku says his administration wants to see that narrative changed.

According to him, he is optimistic the Black Stars will start winning the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in the near future with hard work and proper management.

“Let’s fight internally and let’s agree on the best foot to put forward for the good of the Football Association. I believe we have enough quality in this country and I believe with very good management, we would get back to our glorious days”, he said.

“We are yearning for the big trophies, just as the President Nana Akufo-Addo said. We are yearning for the AFCON, we are yearning for the CAF Champions League and with hard work, these trophies would come”, the country’s football governing body leader added.
