Kwadwo Asamoah and Agyeman Badu are in my plans- Coach Kwesi Appiah

Head Coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana, Coach Kwesi Appiah says the doors are still opened for Juventus and Bursaspor midfielders Kwadwo Asamoah and Agyeman Badu respectively.

The pair have not had an invite to the Black Stars since the return of Kwesi Appiah. Kwadwo Asamoah asked to be excused from the national team following a series of injuries that have troubled his career.

However, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, who was part of the team at the Nations Cup in Gabon, early this year lost is place in the team due to poor form.

Meanwhile, Coach Kwesi Appiah, who insists he is still in the process of rebuilding a team, indicated the two players are still in his plans for the future.

“Automatically, the doors are opened for them to be recalled into the national team,” Appiah said on Happy FM. “For them they’ve been in the national team before, so if it was a new player who was coming in, maybe that would have been a problem, because you have to access them and see whether they can play or not.”

“For those who have played the national team before it doesn’t matter, any time you call them they will deliver. So they are both in my plans.”

Emmanuel Agyeman Badu is on loan at Turkish club Bursaspor after leaving Udinese in the summer in search of more playing time.

Meanwhile, Kwadwo Asamoah, who is being linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray has struggled to break into the Juventus team due to injuries and he is likely to leave in January.
