Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah suffered a defeat in his competitive debut for Inter Milan on Sunday.
The former European giants were pipped 1:0 by US Sassuolo in the Serie A opener.
The former Juventus star lasted the entire duration as the Nerrazuri could not recover from Domenico Berardi's 27th-minute penalty.
Asamoah was deployed in a four-man midfield alongside Matteo Politano, Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic.
He made the switch to the San Siro this summer on a free transfer after ending his contract with Juventus.
Sassuolo had Ghanaian duo Alfred Duncan and Kevin-Prince Boateng in the starting line-up but Claud Adjepong was an unused substitute.
