Kwasi Appiah receives massive backing from his manager to shine in League One

Ghana striker Kwasi Appiah has been tipped to be one to watch in the upcoming English League One season.

The former Crystal Palace player has joined AFC Wimbledon ahead of the season.

Appiah since joining the team in the summer has been impressive in their pre-season games.

He scored in the Dons' pre-season game at Aldershot Town on Friday, looking a constant threat whenever he got on the ball against the National League side.

“I thought Kwesi did really well for spells of the [Aldershot] game and looked sharp,” Ardley said. “He took his goal well and could have had another. That was pleasing and he's got 90 minutes into his legs, Said his manager Neal Ardley

“He is a good player, we know that, but I think he is still probably two or three weeks' worth of games and work away from getting where he really needs to be. It's great and it's another step in the right direction and now the job is to try to keep him fit.

“Him and Cody and Lyle and if we can keep them fit them we should have a strike-force to go to war with this season.
