Striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt of Holstein Kiel strongly asserts his honor in playing for the Black Stars with obvious passion and unflinching pride.

The former Bayern Munich striker is part of the Black Stars team preparing for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar.

Kwasi Okyere Wriedt took to his official Instagram page to post a picture of himself in training with the caption: “Proud to represent the Black Stars”

The team led by Chris Hughton completed preparations in Accra on Thursday evening and left the country for the crucial game on Friday morning.

The former Premier League manager has full house except Gideon Mensah who has been ruled out of the clash due to injury.

Ghana will eye a victory that could seal their place in the next AFCON tournament.

Ghana goes into the game sitting on top of their Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023 qualifying group with 8 points after two wins and two draws in the first four matches.

The match against Madagascar will take place at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo.
