Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah will appoint a new captain for the team according to sources close to the gaffer.

According to the grapevine source, Kwesi Appiah is getting fed up with the brewing politics in the team and he is looking at getting a new skipper for the side.

Asamoah Gyan is currently the captain of the side with Andre Ayew as his deputy but the source claims the three players being penciled for the role are John Boye, Thomas Partey and Christian Atsu.

The Black Stars are sweating on their World Cup qualification chances after they failed to beat Congo in Kumasi last Friday in a 1-1 draw a day after Uganda had beaten Egypt 1-0 but are keen on grabbing a favourable result in their remaining two games against Uganda and Egypt.
