Lack of concentration resulted in our defeat against Kotoko- Legon Cities captain Fatau Dauda

Captain for Legon Cities FC, Fatau Dauda has shared that lack of concentration contributed to the defeat of his side last Friday when they hosted Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The two teams locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night to fight for 3 points on Match Week 2 of the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

Though Legon Cities FC scored first, Kotoko climbed from behind to win 3-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.

According to Fatau Dauda, lack of concentration at some point in the match caused his side to suffer the home defeat.

“We prepared very well to come and win this game. We came in to win the game. That’s our plan. We learned something from our training ground with the coach but I think along the line we lost concentration”, Dauda said in a post-match interview.

He added, “We were leading 1-0, Kotoko came in before the halftime and they equalized. As the coach said we are still preparing and we will do better. Although we lost but am proud of my boys. So we need to go back and make sure we correct ourselves and then continue because the league is still young”.
