Laryea Kingston urges Hearts of Oak to plan well for subsequent Africa campaign

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has called on management of Hearts of Oak to plan well for subsequent Africa inter club competitions.

The Phobians have been dumped out of the CAF Inter-Club competition after losing heavily to JS Saoura in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs on Sunday.

They suffered a 4-0 defeat at away to JS Saoura as the Algerian club progress to the money zone on 4-2 aggregate.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Laryea Kingston attributed the club’s defeat to JS Saoura and has therefore called on management to plan well for subsequent Africa campaign.

“Going into the season, their main focus was on Africa so they did not really focus on the Ghana Premier League,”

“So, in future, I would love to see them planning well and they also need to manage the players very well.

“For me, I think the players have been overused and so fatigue has set in but with time I believe they will bounce back.”

Hearts of Oak have had a difficult start to this year’s campaign losing one and drawing three out of the four matches they have played.
