Las Palmas worried about fitness of Kevin-Prince Boateng

Las Palmas are sweating on the fitness of Ghanaian attacker Kevin-Prince Boateng ahead of their La Liga clash with Barcelona this weekend.

‘The Yellows’ will host Barca at Estadio de Gran Canaria on Sunday night for a match which could be crucial in the title race.

Yet the home side could be without Boateng, who suffered an injury in a heavy collision with teammate Mateo Garcia in training on Wednesday.

As a precautionary measure both players sat out the remainder of the session. Boateng suffered a contusional incisive wound in his right tibia and must pass a fitness test on the weekend.

Las Palmas will hope the former Black Stars player recovers in time - Boateng has been a key figure in their campaign, scoring 10 goals in 27 league appearances.
