Legendary Manager Harry Redknapp Picks Who He Thinks Will Win Premier League

Published on: 27 December 2016

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Chelsea are the frontrunners for the Premier League title, according to theDaily Star.

However, the 69-year-old hasn't been impressed by any side this season and he predicts an open title race, despite Chelsea's 12 match winning streak.

"I watched Man City and they weren't overly impressive at Hull," he said on talksport.

"A couple of breaks went their way and they ended up nicking the game,I didn't look at that game and think they're title winners.

"Even Chelsea, Bournemouth had good opportunities at the weekend, but at the moment if you had to put your money down Chelsea would be favourites.

"I still don't think it's over, there will be some twists and turns yet. Arsenal clawed out a result when they were struggling, West Brom were hanging in there. It's not over."

Redknapp admits any of the top six could capture the title but he expects both Liverpool and Manchester United to miss out on the top four.

Liverpool have been flying in the league recently, but he sees the loss of Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations in January as a big blow to the Red's title ambitions.

He added: "If any of that top six could put a run together they can still win it and any two of the top six, apart from Chelsea probably, could drop out of it (the top four).

"Who's going to be out of that top four? I think Arsenal will be in the top four. I think Tottenham will be in the four.

"Who's going to drop out? Chelsea will be in the four. Man City are going to be in the four.I think Liverpool (will drop out).

"As much as I love Liverpool and they've been excellent, but the boy (Sadio) Mane goes away to the African Cup and that will be a massive loss for them."
