Legon Cities FC head coach Goran Barjaktarevic has noted that his side faced Kumasi Asante a bit too early in the just started 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The rebranded Wa All Stars side hosted the Porcupine Warriors at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday night in a Match Week 2 encounter of the Ghanaian top-flight.

At the end of an entertaining encounter, Asante Kotoko climbed from behind to record a deserved 3-1 win over the hosts.

Speaking in a post-match press conference, Coach Goran Barjaktarevic who took over Legon Cities FC just a week to the start of the season says his side faced the Ghanaian giants too early in the season.

“I would like to see the game [results] a little bit different [laughs]. But you know it’s definitely this game came two, three weeks too early”, He said.

He further stressed that the Reds are far ahead in terms of the quality they possess and that handed them an advantage on the matchday.

Coach Goran Barjaktarevic continued, “I mean such opponent like Kotoko they are very good, organized, they play a long time together and one big part of the team. And this is exactly the quality that we don’t have. That’s why I say two, three weeks later it will be a better match than today”.
