Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin aims to fix goalscoring woes

Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is concerned about his outfit poor goalscoring form in the Ghana Premier League and has therefore promised to fix it.

The Royals has scored just once in their last five Ghana Premier League games, with the only goal coming against Asante Kotoko last Saturday.

Fabin’s side threw their lead away as Kotoko came from behind to secure victory at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

Legon Cities took the lead with Nasiru Moro's splendid free-kick finding the net in the 27th minute.

But the Porcupine Warriors stage a comeback to secure a 3-1 away win over their opponent. The equalizer came in the 67th minute courtesy of an own goal from Mohammed Suleman.

Subsequently, Stephen Mukwala extended the lead for the away side in the 75th minute, and Isaac Oppong sealed the victory late in injury time.

After the game, Fabin admitted his side lack firepower upfront and has promised to fix it as the season unfolds.

Asked about what he intends to do with regards to the club’s poor scoring rate, he said, “We are still working on it”

Legon Cities are currently in the relegation drop after 12 games so far this season. They are 16th on the long with 12 points.
