Leicester City Planning January Swoop for £20m Belgian Starlet to Fill N'Golo Kante Void

With the January transfer window almost upon us, a host of Premier League clubs are plotting to boost their ranks, and it appears Leicester City are no different.

According to theMirror, the champions have apparently offered£16m to Genk for NigerianWilfred Ndidi, and are confident of securing a deal in January. He is 19-years-old and has already appeared 30 times for the club - in addition, he has already represented his national team twice.

One of the top prospects in Belgian football, the midfielder is valued at£20m by his club, and City boss Claudio Ranieri will look to reach a compromise for a man he hopes can fill the rather wide hole left by N'Golo Kante's transfer to Chelsea.

Having of course won the league last time out, Ranieri's men are finding things much tougher this year; currently just two points off the bottom three, they have already lost twice as many matches this season as they did throughout the entirety of the previous campaign.
