Leicester City's Engine Man Is Adamant Foxes Haven't Lost Their Mojo Despite Poor Recent Form

Leicester City'shard-workingmidfielder Andy King believes the club have not lost their mojo - which stood them in such good stead during their unprecedented title win last season - despite their abject start to the new campaign, as reported byThe Sun.

The Foxes have flirted with the lower end of the Premier League standings this season, but in recent weeks have produced rousing displays against difficult opposition in both Manchester City and Stoke City.

In the latter game, Leicester came backfrom two goals down with only 10 men (after Jamie Vardy was sent off) to salvage a credible 2-2 draw at the Bet365 Stadium, and veteran midfielder King is convinced that the club are still at the peak of their powers.

One of the things that we have always had at this club, especially in recent years is character.

I know that has been questioned a little bit at times in recent weeks, rightly or wrongly, but we showed that we're back to that on Saturday.

We wanted to put on a good performance and it was tough when we went down to 10 but it was about the character and to come back at a tough place like Stoke, which everybody said was a massive game for us.

It's only one point and we're fully aware of that and we're not pleased with our position in the table. But we can hopefully use this as a springboard for the second half of the season.

The boys showed unbelievable character and are delighted to come away with a point in what was a difficult situation at a tough place like Stoke.

Football pundit Alex Shearer was forthright in his criticism of the club, claiming that the club are too relaxed in their title defence, content to settle for second best, but King is concerned at the scale of criticism, questioning their credentials.

Great comeback boys showed the character we've got today.. congrats @DanAmartey on his first goal for the club 力ï’' https://t.co/Ag3Y6CfGm2 pic.twitter.com/MUC5XUmCTv

The Welsh midfielder confessed: It hurt when people questioned our character, especially in a group like ours where we pride ourselves on that side of things.

Everyone works together and puts in a shift for each other. It's something we've always taken enormous pride in.At half-time, 2-0 down wasn't good we were all unhappy in there.

"It's hard enough when one or two decisions go against you “ when it goes into the teens you start to think it won't be your day. But we used that frustration in the second half to try to turn it around. We said: ˜There are no excuses here. It's down to us why we're 2-0 down and it's ONLY us who can rectify it'.

We just said ˜we're still in this'. We were in this situation before here last season, 2-0 down at half-time and managed to come back, although not with 10 men.''

So there you go. the team's mojo is alive and well!
