Let’s not rush Sulley Muntari back into Black Stars – Hearts board member Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe

Hearts of Oak board member Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe says it's early to rush Sulley Muntari back into the Black Stars team ahead of the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Muntari has been in fine form for the Phobians since joining them on a free transfer in February.

In the last few weeks, there have been growing calls for the player to be invited to the Ghana national team for the upcoming games against Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

"I worked with Sulley Muntari in 2004 when he was with the U23 squad. I was then the GFA boss. [It is clear that he is doing well] but let’s not rush him back to the team.

"I believe when the time is right, Sulley himself would know it and decide on it," Tamakloe told Asempa FM.

Muntari last played for Ghana in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Ghana will take on Nigeria at the Cape Coast Stadium on March 25 in the first leg before travelling to Abuja for the return leg on March 29.

The winner of the tie will represent the continent at the World football showpiece which is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar.
