The French Ligue 1 today joined Ghana to celebrate the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.
Ghanaians today have observed the day as a Statutory Public Holiday in remembrance of the country’s first ever president, Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah.
Notable names in the Ligue 1 this season are Kamaldeen Sulemana (Rennes), Gideon Mensah (Bordeaux), Alexander Djiku and Majeed Waris (Strasbourg) among others.
In a post on Ligue 1’s official English Twitter page, the league tweeted a goodwill message to all Ghanaians.
The tweet reads: "We join our Ghanaian community in celebrating a happy,"
