PSG was sanctioned by FIFA in regards to an irregularity in the deal that brought Mauro Icardi to Paris from Inter Milan in 2019.

According to Hadrien Grenier, the deal between PSG and Inter contained a clause preventing PSG from selling the player back to any Italian team. In the event Icardi was sold to an Italian club, the French giants would have had to pay Inter an additional € 15 million fee.

Such clause is forbidden by FIFA regulations and PSG was fined € 9120 for it.

According to reports, Inter Milan might be fined as well.

Icardi, 28, joined PSG on loan from Inter in 2019, and than on a permanent basis in 2020 for a € 55 million transfer fee. He appeared in 62 games for Paris so far, scoring 33 goals.
